FGSA Color our Bats Pink.

September 17, 2013
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is in October, the FGSA will be doing two things...

#1, All of our girls playing in the Fall will be receiving pink socks, and coaches will be receiving Breast Cancer Awareness hats to be worn during all games in October.

#2, and most importantly, Saturday, October 26th, noon, at the Blandon Fire Co, we will be hosting a Kids vs. Coaches game in order to raise money.  Profits will be split 50/50, with half going to the FGSA and half going to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.  The concession stand will be open, there will be baked goods for sale, a Chinese Basket Auction, there will be activities for the kids (possibly face painting, pumpkin painting, etc), a Rainbow Loom Bracelet Sale, and more!

See below for more details, or print out the attached document!

The Fleetwood Girls Softball Association is excited to announce their first ever:   Coaches VS Kids Softball Game!!

The game will be held on October 26th at noon (concessions open at 11:30)!  Rain Date will be October 27th at noon.  We expect the event to end around 3:00 PM.

50% of all profits from the game will go to Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (October is Breast Cancer Awareness month) and the other 50% will go to the Fleetwood Girls Softball Association!!

There will be no charge to attend the game but we will be asking for donations!

Sign Up Your Child To Play:

Coaches starting next week will have a sign-up sheet at the games.  Your child must be signed up for the game no later thanOctober 11th in order to play in the game.   Due to the timing for the game we need to work on the lineup for each inning due to the amount of kids we expect to play.  All children participating will be able to bat and field for at least one inning.  You will be notified in advance of the inning your child will be playing.

Honor Someone Who is a Survivor or Currently Battling Cancer:

We would like to honor someone who is of immediate family to a Fleetwood Softball Player.  If you know someone who is currently battling breast cancer or is a survivor of breast cancer, please contact Gretchen Manmiller atgnkmanmiller@verizon.net (please put Survivor of Breast Cancer in the subject line) or call at 610-507-5449

Company and Family Sponsorships:

We are looking for families or companies to sponsor the game – the cost is $100.00.  We will hang their no bigger than 3X4 sign (they will need to provide one due to lack of timing) on the fence at the fire company.  Signs can be ordered atwww.vistaprint.com for around $30.00.

In addition, any sponsor of $100.00 or more will also be acknowledged at the softball game and be included on flyers/programs given out the day of the game.
