FGSA News week of Aug 24th

August 23, 2015
FGSA NIGHT AT THE FLEETWOOD POOL = Thu 8/27
===================================================================================
Pool night is coming up this Thursday!  Marty Templin just informed me that the concession stand won't be open that night which is good news for FGSA because that means we are free to sell whatever we want!  Anyone who wants to donate snacks to sell or make baked goods, please bring them along.

You are free to come any time during the day, but FGSA will only receive a portion of your entrance fee from 7:30 thru 10.  Regardless, a majority of what we make off of this event will likely be from food sales, so please help out!

The weather this entire week including Thursday looks beautiful.  Highs around 80 degrees and lots of sun.

FGSA ANNUAL NIGHT AT THE MOVIES = Sat 8/29
===================================================================================
Once again FGSA will be showing a movie right on our home field.  This year's movie will be "Sandlot."  Last year this event was rained out (because I picked the date.)  As noted above, so far the extended forecast for the entire week looks really good.  The movie will start as soon after the sun goes down, around 8pm.  All girls and their families are free to show up as early as you like to throw the ball around on the field.  The concession stand will be open prior to the start of the event for those who need snacks.

Don't forget to bring your blankets and chairs, and don't forget that the temperatures drop from the 80's into the 60's by the time the movie is over, so make sure you bring some extra layers to throw on later.

Thanks to Gretchen Manmiller and Thirty-One for making this event possible.

FALL LEAGUE TEAMS GETTING STARTED
===================================================================================
The Berks County Girls Softball League scheduling melee was held last Thursday, 8/20.  Everyone should be hearing from your coaches soon if you haven't already about game dates, times and locations.  Good luck to everyone this Fall!
