May 13, 2013

I just wanted to say THANK YOU everyone who volunteered in preparation of and during our FGSA Day festivities.  Your hard work and dedication made the day a huge success.

Now onto more exciting news from FGSA

 FALL BALL 2013

We will be entering several teams into the Berks County FALL BALL League and we want to get a jump on the registration.  The Fall season will get started in late August and run through October and maybe a few games in November.  Very soon FGSA will make available to you the Fall registration form either on the web site or via your respective coaches.  If your child is already registered with FGSA for the Spring 2013 there will be NO additional cost to play in the Fall. Except if someone got spaghetti sauce all over their uniform, or they have grown out of it. Then we will have new uniforms available for purchase.

FALL BALL is slightly more relaxed than the Spring season and is where the girls can really hone their softball skills.  Again it is FREE to those who are currently registered.  If you know of someone who wanted to play this spring, but did just not have the time…….now is the time to get them involved.  Girls who are not currently registered with FGSA will be expected to pay a small registration fee and purchase a uniform.

 BERKS COUNTY ALL-STARS

The Berks County League of which we are a part of is sponsoring 2 ALL STAR teams this year.  They will have a 10U and 12U team comprised of the best girls at each age group from around the county.  Tryouts for each age group will held and teams selected from those who attend the tryouts.  Selections will be made by a 3rd party assessment team to try and avoid any shenanigans.  If selected each team will play in at least 3 tournaments over the summer.

Registration forms and additional information are currently available on the county web site.   Please check it out and get signed up of this great opportunity.   It would also be really great if we could get 2 girls from each age group selected for each team.

 KU SOFTBALL CAMP

Just a reminder to check out the Kutztown University Softball Camp information that has been circulated.  Another great opportunity that should not be passed up.

 Thank you for your time,

 Kevin L. Manmiller
