Newsletter for March 30, 2015

All of the team schedules for Fleetwood and every other team in the BCGSL are now up on the BCGSL website,  Please save that link as one of your favorites.  You will be able to find the most up-to-date schedules there 24/7.  The commissioners at each age level should also be posting scores in a timely manner as well.
Coaches, make sure you are always checking what's on the BCGSL website against what you believe your schedule is!  If there's a mismatch between what you have vs. what's on the BCGSL website, there's a chance the other team doesn't have the same date/time as you, and there's also a chance you won't be getting an umpire when you think you should be.  The umpires were given exactly what you see on the website, so it's important that you double-check that it's correct!
I'm getting a little concerned that there isn't enough interest to make this happen this year.  Not sure what that's about since we had almost 100 people signed up in each of the last 3 years.  The sign-ups are seriously lagging behind this year for some reason.  If I don't get a wave of interest soon, I'm going to have to cancel this event.
Again, the date is 6/11.  $24/person, and includes tickets, all-you-can-eat buffet, fireworks after the game, and the girls on the field in uniform with the Phillies players during the National Anthem, and access to the pool throughout the game.

You don't need to pay right away.  I just need to know who intends to go.
The FGSA and Yogo Paradise have partnered for a Fundraiser on Sun 4/26 from 2pm to 9pm. All you have to do is print out the attached flyer and bring it with you for delicious frozen yogurt on 4/26. You can hand out as many flyers as you want to all of your friends and family. Anyone who shows up with the flyer and hands it in with your purchase will help out the FGSA. It's as easy as that!
(Shout out to Kim Frederick for spearheading this effort!)
Saturday the 11th of April starting at 8AM and continuing till the work is done. We will be completing the following work activities.
  • Turn on lights and survey how many bulbs are out so we can let the township know
  • Turn on score board and make sure it works and review operation thereof
  • Install removable mound apparatus
  • Place fill under home plate
  • Shave hump from edge of infield
  • Square diamond and re-set 2nd base
  • Re-establish bull pens
  • Paint foul poles
  • Clean storage areas
  • Clean bleacher area
  • Clean concession stand
  • Clean and fix-up lime spreaders
  • Clean, oil change, fuel, new battery in tractor
  • Remove flag from pole. New one will go up opening day
  • Clean announcers booth and verify sound system works
Some of the items can be completed before the work detail. So if you have spare time before the work detail by all means git-r-done. If you elect to do something before the work detail just let me know so we do not have 2 people working on the same thing. If someone works at DEKA it would be really cool if you could get us a new battery and have it installed prior 4/11. Or if someone wants to grab one the lime spreaders and take it home and clean it up and fix it up that would be cool as well. The more we can get knocked off during next 2 weeks the quicker it will go on Sat 4/11.
